Baby Sleep Training Questions

Baby sleep training is a process that provides your children with a tool to be able to fall asleep, get back to sleep, and sleep through the night on their own. Sleep is essential for everyone, and starting good habits early on is proving your child with the ‘gift of sleep’.

First step in the process is to get to know you as a parrent. We work with your parenting style,  so that your are comfortable throughout the entire process.  When most people think of sleep training, their initial thoughts are that the baby will have to cry themselves to sleep, which is not the case. By getting to know your individual baby, we will be able to predict their needs ahead of time. While some self soothe through crying, most cry out of a need, and by working together we will be able to understand what that need is.

This topic comes with a lot of different views and recommendations. In pediatrics, nothing is black and white and most of what we do as parents, is decided by our own views and styles of parenting. Our recommendation is to start the sleep training process at 2 weeks, which is when the baby becomes more alert. While our recommendation is to start at 2 weeks, you can start the process whenever you feel is right for your family.

We do not have an age limit, however, the later you begin the process the child’s personality plays a bigger role. At about 6-9 months, habits are usually formed and breaking them can be harder on the parents than the child.  When sleep training toddlers, it is more about learning their personality and breaking certain behavioral habits that have formed during the bedtime routine.

Depending when you start, the process is about 6-8 weeks.

We decided to offer our packages with unlimited support based on feedback and experience working with families. When providing families with a limited number of phone and email support, they only asked questions they felt were relevant while not giving  priority to other questions that  ultimately delayed the process. When we are given a limit on things, we live with a scarcity mindset. We found by providing our services with unlimited follow up, we began to have  a 100% success rate.  In order to provide this service, we realized we would be working with fewer clients in order to maintain this type of support and service.

Parent Baby Concierge Questions

When it comes to our concierge program, we work with the needs of families in the area. Having kids doesn’t come with a instruction manual, and nothing in pediatrics is black and white which is why as a company we try to be flexible and open minded to your needs.

Yes.  We have had a number of requests to provide a on call parenting advice service for a monthly fee.  Families benefit from this service by saving countless hours searching the internet for their parenting concerns.  We also found it to be a safe space for parents to ask any question without fear of being judged.

Being a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric and Mother Baby field has provided a ton of experience and knowledge, however I am not licensed to offer medical advice without consulting with a physician. In the future we hope to partner with a Pediatrician to be able to provide this type of support.

We decided to offer a bedrest service while working on the High risk perinatal unit and seeing that there was a need for this type of service. Depending on the circumstance, we will come up with a plan to keep your life as normal as possible even while being on bedrest. It can be a lot of stress to  keep up with family responsibilities while on bedrest, and we will work with you to coordinate all of your needs.

Mindfulness Program Questions

From a passion end addiction and violence and raise resilient children, we decided to launch our mindfulness program.  A lot of focus is put on education so that children get good grades, go to college and get a good paying job. A big part of that process also has a lot of do with our mindset, and learning how to get through the obstacles of life. The mind is powerful, and with more focus put on the brain, I believe we will see a change in our future.
